What is SCENECS

“SCENECS is not just a film festival, SCENECS is a film experience and brings the world together through film, ” said festival director Arya Tariverdi.

SCENECS (est. 2006) is an annual International Film Festival for new directors and producers of film and documentary. It aims to give future professionals a platform to start and develop their careers.  Film talent, culture and production are showcased and promoted through educational activities, debates and network activities during the festival, which concludes with the Grand Gala Award Event.

New directors and producers the world over are given the opportunity to see their debut film screened at the SCENECS International Debut Film Festival, which takes place every year in Hilversum, in  May or June.

Hilversum is the media capital of the Netherlands and the place to be for new talents in the film and media industry.
